Yu Xin, professor of Beijing Institute of Education in China, with double master degrees (M.E in China and MBA in the United States). He is the head of Teacher Trainer Training Center (TTTC) of Beijing Institute of Education and the coordinator of TTT Program Executive Office of under the Ministry of Education of China.

 

In 1997,Yu Xin got acquainted with Professor June Maker. Inspired by the DISCOVERY project, he followed Howard Gardner's MI theory and published the book, Multiple Intelligences in the World in 2004.From 2004 to 2010, he developed the school-based Curriculum for education for international understanding for primary and secondary schools in Beijing, and trained teachers to implement it. His research work, Case Studies:In-service Teacher Training on EIU in China, was awarded the "EIU Best Practices Award " by The Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding of UNESCO.

 

Since 2013, he has led The Action Research and Teacher Training Project on Student-centered Learning & Teaching Design, embedding ideas of the comprehensive activities, problem solving, project learning in the traditional classroom teaching activities for the primary and secondary school teachers to build a bridge between "traditional class mode" and "modern class mode". He published book "Instructional Design Based of Student centered Learning” in 2019.

余新,北京教育学院教授,曾留学美国,获境内外双硕士学位。北京教育学院培训研修中心主任,兼任教育部“国培计划”培训团队研修项目执行办公室主任,“全国中小学幼儿园教师培训专家工作组成员”(教育部聘)、教育部“国培计划”专家库首批专家(教育部聘),第四届全国教师教育课程资源专家委员会委员(教育部聘)。

1997年结识June Maker 教授,受她的DISCOVERY项目和霍华德·加德纳的MI理论启发,2004年出版《多元智能在世界》。2004-2010年为北京市中小学开发了“国际理解教育的校本课程”,并培训教师实施,他的研究成果“中国国际理解教育教师在职培训案例”获得联合国教科文组织“亚太地区国际理解教育中心”颁发的“最佳实践案例”奖励。

 

2013-2020牵头负责“以学生为中心的教学设计”的行动教育与教师培训项目,将问题解决、项目学习、综合活动教学等理念嵌入传统课堂教学活动中,为中小学教师在“传统模式”与“现代模式”之间搭建教育行动桥梁,2019年主编《以学生为本的教学设计》。

 

当前,余新教授主要专业兴趣聚焦在教师培训和中小学课堂教学改革方面。2009年以来一直承担教育部“国培计划”示范项目——中小学教师培训者培训子项目负责人。北京教育学院一级重点学科平台“教师职后教育创新与发展”项目负责人。2010年出版个人专著《教师培训师专业修炼》,被全国多地作为教师培训师培训教材。
